What was filed

The complaint is Document 1, filed October 15, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The case is Michael P. Romeo, LLC d/b/a Jubilee Catering by Romeo v. Folcroft Fire Company, Deborah Armstrong, and Kevin Synder, No. 2:26-cv-07925, and it includes a jury demand. (The complaint spells the last defendant both "Synder" and "Snyder.") It pleads eight counts: unfair competition and false designation of origin under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a); common-law trademark infringement and unfair competition; breach of contract; tortious interference with business relationships; breach of the covenant of quiet enjoyment and constructive eviction; commercial disparagement; declaratory and injunctive relief; and punitive damages. Counsel are Vincent N. Melchiorre of DeFino Law Associates, P.C. and John F. A. Earley III of Harding, Earley, Follmer & Frailey, P.C. The 14-page complaint was read from a scanned copy using OCR; Exhibits 1 to 7 were not reviewed.

What the complaint alleges

Jubilee Catering, of Collingdale, Pennsylvania, says it has leased space at the fire company's hall in Folcroft, Pennsylvania, since February 17, 2021, under a lease it says runs through December 31, 2026, and has used "Folcroft Banquet Hall Premier Room" and "Folcroft Banquet Hall Social Hall" for catering services since then. The complaint does not plead a federal registration. It alleges that Armstrong, whom it identifies as Chairman of the fire company's board, opposed a second lease renewal; that around March 2026 the fire company's website appeared in search results with those names, Jubilee's photographs, and the fire company's own phone number, which it says Synder placed there at Armstrong's direction; that the fire company took down Jubilee's sign around July 2026; and that around August 10, 2026 a work crew dismantled the leased kitchen, which it says remained inoperable as of September 10, 2026.

The prayer seeks an injunction against use of the names, a compliance report under 15 U.S.C. § 1116(a), delivery up under 15 U.S.C. § 1118, an accounting and profits under 15 U.S.C. § 1117, an exceptional-case finding under 15 U.S.C. § 1117(a), $150,000 on each of the contract, tortious interference, quiet enjoyment, and commercial disparagement counts, punitive damages, and fees.
