What was filed

Inovinox USA, LLC v. Anna Maria Ianniello, Sara Ianniello, and InoxFlow LLC, No. 1:26-cv-27652 (S.D. Fla.), was filed October 28, 2026 (14 pages). The clerk's notice of judge assignment assigns the case to Judge Darrin P. Gayles. Inovinox USA says it is a Florida limited liability company based in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and a distributor of stainless-steel valves and related machinery and machine parts to the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food-processing industries. It alleges Anna Maria Ianniello and Sara Ianniello are sisters and former employees, and that InoxFlow LLC is a Florida limited liability company based in Boca Raton, Florida, which it alleges, on information and belief, the two own and operate. (Compl. caption; paras. 2 to 5, 14 to 19.)

The mark

The complaint alleges Inovinox USA owns U.S. Trademark Registration No. 5,669,780 for INOVINOX in International Class 035, covering distributorship services of machinery and machine parts for use in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, issued February 5, 2019, with use since at least January 31, 2018. It alleges the United States Patent and Trademark Office accepted a combined Sections 8 and 15 declaration, so the mark is incontestable under 15 U.S.C. 1065. USPTO Trademark Status and Document Retrieval records list Registration No. 5,669,780 as live, with the status "A Sections 8 and 15 combined declaration has been accepted and acknowledged" dated February 10, 2025, and owner INOVINOX USA, LLC. (Compl. paras. 3, 14, 20 to 24.)

What the complaint alleges

The complaint alleges that on April 25, 2025, while the sisters still worked for Inovinox USA, Anna Maria Ianniello formed InoxFlow, which sells the same stainless-steel sanitary valves to the same industries under a name confusingly similar to INOVINOX. It alleges that three days later she formed a second Florida company bearing the name of the valve products Inovinox USA sold, and that the second company was placed under InoxFlow's management in May 2025, to suggest that InoxFlow had taken over Inovinox USA's business. It alleges InoxFlow sells through its inoxflow.com website and filed intent-to-use application Serial No. 99377483 to register InoxFlow for metal valves. It alleges, on information and belief, that InoxFlow solicited Inovinox USA's customers using its confidential customer information and reached them through telephone numbers and lines Inovinox USA paid for, and it alleges that those customers ended their relationships with Inovinox USA. (Compl. paras. 4 to 7, 26 to 47.)

The counts and relief

Count I alleges federal trademark infringement under 15 U.S.C. 1114(1)(a) against all defendants. Count II alleges unfair competition under 15 U.S.C. 1125(a)(1)(A) against all defendants. Count III alleges tortious interference with business relationships against InoxFlow. The prayer seeks judgments of infringement and unfair competition, injunctive relief against use of InoxFlow or confusingly similar designations and against representations of affiliation or succession, an accounting and disgorgement, trebled damages under 15 U.S.C. 1117(a), and fees, and the complaint demands a jury.
