What the complaint alleges
The complaint says C&J Home Services, LLC is an Ohio limited liability company doing business as Pocket Movers, with its principal place of business in Ohio and its website at pocket-movers.com. It says C&J has used the POCKET MOVERS word mark for moving company services, junk and trash removal, and dumpster rental since at least February 2023. It says the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued Registration No. 8,302,682 on June 16, 2026, for the POCKET MOVERS word mark in standard characters, Class 39, covering moving company services, junk, trash, and debris removal, and dumpster rental. It says the USPTO issued Registration No. 8,398,819 on August 18, 2026, for a POCKET MOVERS design mark for the same Class 39 services.
The complaint says True Mover LLC is a Virginia limited liability company that offers moving services at thetruemover.com. It lists a principal office in Reston, Virginia, and a business address in Sterling, Virginia.
The complaint alleges that pocketmovers.com was originally registered in or about 2020, and that True Mover either was the original owner or later acquired or obtained control of the domain. It says a WHOIS search shows the domain registered through a privacy service, and that True Mover has acknowledged current ownership in correspondence. It alleges that True Mover configured the domain to redirect users to thetruemover.com, and that the redirect first became active in or around 2025, after C&J began using POCKET MOVERS in February 2023. It alleges that True Mover has disabled the redirect for now, has refused to transfer the domain, and still owns and controls it.
Count I alleges infringement under 15 U.S.C. § 1114. Count II alleges unfair competition and false designation of origin under § 1125(a). The prayer asks for a permanent injunction, an order transferring pocketmovers.com to C&J (or, in the alternative, canceling the domain-name registration) under § 1116(a), and damages and profits under § 1117(a). A court has not granted any of that.
